Regional Workshop Technical Program
and
Indiana Irrigation Contractors Council Program

IPLLA will present a unique approach to industry education. Four leading manufacturers have been invited to share in-depth information about new products, technology, safety, and maintenance systems available to the entire green industry.

Participating firms include Bayer Environmental Science, Dow AgroSciences, Kenney Outdoor Solutions, and PBI Gordon. Products to be covered include Armada, Specticle Dimension, Gallery, Snapshot, Defendor, T-Zone, Q4 Plus, Zylam, and many more.

Each presentation will review a product’s pest spectrum, mode of action, and product label. Required Personal Protective Equipment will be addressed as well as appropriate mixing and application rates.

Part of the program will focus on equipment safety and safety training. We will look at proper use of ride-on equipment, safety interlock systems, and how to develop a format for equipment inspection. Use of deflector shields, EPA fuel requirements, and “Tailgate Training” will also be discussed.

The Indiana State Chemist will also be on hand to answer questions and to discuss 2013 State Chemist Enforcement Priorities.

This is a very well rounded program that should appeal to anyone involved in the Green Industry.

INDIANA IRRIGATION CONTRACTORS COUNCIL Workshop - Plainfield Location Only

As part of the IPLLA Regional Meeting at Plainfield, the Indiana Irrigation Contractors Council will meet to discuss future activities and organization. This session will begin at 10:00 am with a review of current local and state ordinances affecting the industry as well as ways IICC can help keep you up-to-date on changes in such local matters.

We also will be reviewing the IPLLA website and how it can be used as a resource for your business. What do we need to add, keep updated, and research for our contractor members.

We will also have a review of national irrigation affairs which are impacting states surrounding Indiana and the direction such issues are taking.

Finally, we will be looking to you to participate as contractor leaders in IICC. This portion of the Indiana Professional Lawn & Landscape Association was created for contractor involvement and we want to ensure that such members, from all over Indiana, have the opportunity to participate in its leadership.
